There are many children who are underprivileged due to all sorts of things that are impacting their lives. Whatever the reason, Ashely’s Furniture decided that enough was enough, and put money towards filling the Cowboy’s area with 100 beds for those children who didn’t have one at home. The children were invited for a giant sleepover and then told that they were going to be able to take the bed home with all of its Cowboy-based merchandise.
It was a dream come true for kids who got to hang out and watch a movie with their favourite CFL team as well as the fact that their parents got one less thing to worry about, knowing their child was having a fun time and they would have the bed delivered to their home so that each one would have a safe place to sleep each night. It is a sight to be seen, and the one at the stadium was definitely one filled with tears and weepy parents who loved seeing their kids’ faces light up when they saw their new belongings.
