Britain
Britain is number 5. Britain has a National Health Plan. Doctors, nurses and hospitals are all government owned and run. All a British citizen has to do is show up to get health care. Their medical bills are prepaid up to $45000. Special permission has to be granted to go over that threshold.
Canada
Canada is number 4. Canada uses a similar system to Britain but the hospitals, doctors and nurses are privately owned companies. Canadians receive excellent health care under this system.
China
China rings in at number 3. This may be surprising to some people but China has an excellent health care system. 90% of their citizens have health insurance. They are building 700,000 new clinics.
Switzerland
Switzerland is number 2. The health care system in Switzerland is not employment based. It is government subsidized. Although it is an expensive health care system it seems to work wonderfully for the Swiss citizens.
Taiwan
Taiwan is the top health care system in the world. The system is a universal system that uses smart cards which contain a patients entire health history from birth to current day. There is speculation that using these smart cards has helped to keep down health care costs by cutting back on paper work. Of course these smart cards also make accurate diagnosis possible.
