In our day and age, sadly, bullying is as prominent as ever. It is common in schools to find the outcasts sitting alone at lunch, their rejection very obvious to all of those around them. So, teenager and former bullying victim, Natalie Hampton, decided to create a mobile app that is discrete and allows for those whoa re lone to find companions to sit with at lunch. The app is free and is designed to help people find a table that is going to be filled with people who will gladly join them. You can pick a place and join some people already at an “open” table, or you can create one of your own for people to join so that no one is alone.
The world needs more people like this, and it is so incredible to see just a brave girl doing everything she can to make a difference in people’s lives. If only the rest of the world would follow suit! Here’s to hoping that this will spark further ideas on the topic.
