Modern Day Prora
Today, Prora is mostly deserted except for a few blocks that are used for a youth hostel.
Other buildings in Prora are very run down. Broken windows mold, and cracks in the foundation are only the start to problems in these buildings.
There is a plan to turn Prora into a modern holiday resort, but it will take a lot of time, work and money to get this place in to good shape. Maybe Hitler will get his wish for this resort even if it is years to late.
There is no doubt that these buildings had their fair share of use. They may not have been intended for refugees, and building weapons, yet having those buildings sure did help the German population get by in the war.
