We all love bringing our furry, friendly family members with us on vacation. Since Fido is an important member of the family, it makes sense that you are looking to make him part of your adventure from start to finish, right? Well, this man was in the same position: planning a big vacation and wanting to bring his well-behaved dog with him. After reserving a spot at the hotel, he emailed them about it, after not seeing anything on the website as a guide.
“I would greatly appreciate it if I could bring my dog with me,” he wrote. “He is well-groomed and extremely well-behaved. Would you be willing to allow me to keep him in my room?”
The manager replied almost immediately stating that he had never had a problem with a dog in the past and that he would love to have the dog stay. However, he put it in a way that deserves a direct quotation:
“In all of the years that I have been operating this hotel,” the response read, “I’ve never seen a dog steal towels, bed sheets, silverware or decorations.”
“I’ve never had to kick a dog out in the middle of the night for being drunk and disorderly. I’ve never had a dog skip out on a hotel bill. Yes, your dog is certainly welcome at my hotel. You’re welcome to stay here, too…”
“…if your dog can vouch for you!”
What an experience this must have been for both the dog and the owner, right? And it couldn’t have been said better, either, by anyone out there.
