Caerlaverock Castle
Urquhart Castle
Urquhart Castle is a 13th-century structure near Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands. During the 14th century, it played a role in the Wars of Scottish Independence, then served as a royal castle. Due to constant raids on the castle, the Grant family had to strengthen it several times until its desertion in the mid-17th century. In 1692, forces of the Kingdom largely destroyed the castle so that the Jacobites could not use it. Since then, the remaining castle has decayed.
