Though many people feel bad about cancer and wish they could help out, not many actually do. Funny enough ,it seems that when people do help out, It’s usually the younger ones, like children. Such an example is Christian McPhilamy, a six-year-old child who decided to grow his hair out for two and half years that he would be able to donate here to those kids who suffers from cancer. After watching a commercial from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, he wanted to donate his hair so that he would be able to help those who needed wigs while going through their cancer treatments. Though he endured much teasing and taunting both from school students as well as adults in his life, he stuck to his goal and over two years later, he was able to finally cut it off and donate it to those in need. That just goes to show how children are much stronger than adults especially when it comes to social interaction and other teasing like Christian would have experienced in the two years that it took for him to achieve his goal. …But most apologized when he refused and explained his mission
The bullying made Christian feel “not very good,” but that didn’t stop him!
After 2 1/2 years, his parents cut off his hair in 4 10-inch ponytails and donated them to Children With Hair Loss
