Long-Lost Dog Finally Gets To Hug His Family Again In Heartwarming Reunion

Joe Karl shared a close bond with his dog Gunnar like many pet owners do. So when Gunnar disappeared one day, Karl and his family started a frantic search for their beloved pooch but came up empty handed.

This coincided with a search made by employees of the City of Pittsburgh Animal Care and Control, who were on the lookout for a quick and mischievous puppy that continued to elude them. Thankfully regular sightings kept them on the trail, and after finding the young dog he was taken into the local shelter where he received care and treatment.

It turns he had a microchip implanted and after it was scanned he was revealed to be none other than Gunnar! After spending an incredible 20 months missing from his owners, he had finally been found!
