Photographer Captures Life in Isolation with Photographs of Forrest Dwellers

There are many ways to live your life in the modern world, and many take the chance to do something against the norm of society. Deciding to leave society behind to make for a more simple and secluded life in the woods is a course that, to the surprise of many, a lot of people have chosen to do. Russian photographer Danila Tkachenko has managed to find and photograph many of these people who seek out a different life from most of us. IN a series of photos entitled Escape, he manages to capture many different people in these situations, with varying results of how they seem to be affected by their life choices. Seeing how some look completely happy and at peace in their surroundings whilst others look somewhat less comfortable provokes a lot of feeling about just what life is like in total seclusion. The subjects were pictured in the forests of Russia and Ukraine, and have spent their time building makeshift homes out of random materials.

All of these photographs and more are compiled into a book titled Escape, which is available from Peperoni BooksDanila Tkachenko website – TAXI
