For those people out there – there are are a lot of them, sadly – battling cancer, the loss of their hair is often one of the worst symptoms of going through treatment. This is because their hair is a person statement of theirs and it is one of the only things that they can hold onto, only to have it fall out during gruelling treatments. So, this tattoo artist takes it upon herself to create henna-made crowns that are put onto the scalps of those suffering for free. This allows them to enjoy the accented look of their scalp and make them feel as though they’ve gained something instead of lost something from something like cancer. It is really illuminating to see that something so bright and incredible can come out of something like this destructive disease that can take the spirit from so many out there. This is something that needs to be done more around the world so that all of the survivors can have something to enjoy and focus on.
