At a space conference (more specifically the 68th International Astronautical Congress 2017 in Adelaide, Australia) earlier this week, Elon Musk proposed using SpaceX’s forthcoming mega-rocket (codenamed Big F*$&%^@ Rocket or BFR for short) to transport people anywhere on Earth in an hour or less.
Never short on ambition, Musk’s vision has not only stirred interest but generated intense debate on the logistical and bureaucratic nightmare such a method of travel would create.
