Tripod- The llama
Tripod’s leg was completely injured and had to be amputated. Marc Field and Sherry Hughes took Tripod into their care and outfit Tripod with a prosthetic leg. Now, Tripod hangs out with other alpacas and llamas on the ranch.
Fuji- The Bottlenosed Dolphin
Fuji had a disease that resulted in the amputation of her tail. Her caregivers truly believe that Fuji will have a fulfilling life if she could have a normal tail. Soon, the 34 year old mammal had a full tail. Fuji uses the fin for 20 minutes a day for safety and practical reasons.
Beauty- The Bald Eagle
Beauty was rescued close to death after being shot by poachers. Her beak was gone and this is one of the reasons why she can’t drink or eat. Jane Fink which is the rescuer of Beauty enlisted the help of Kinetic Engineering Group to construct a 3-D printed beak for Beauty. Now, Beauty was able to behave like a normal eagle.
Septimus- The Tortoise
Septimus was hibernating deeply and he has no idea that rats were gnawing off his front legs. Darren Strand took him to the veterinarian and find out that the legs of Septimus were infested with maggots. Septimus was saved by an operation which attached the wheels of model airplane. He is the speediest tortoise in town.
