20 Breathtaking Photos Of Animal Migration

Whilst we might have access to some of the most amazing virtual spectacles that we’ve ever been able to see in computer games and movies, there is nothing that can compare to some of the things that nature has to offer us.

People have been inspired by seeing rare creatures for as long as there have been people. Yet even that doesn’t compare to the once-yearly mass migrations that you can see when you look for some migrating animals. Birds, fish, and mammals all do this to some extent.

All of the world, for various reasons and for various species, mass migrations are a part of life. Whether it’s for breeding, new food sources or changing temperatures, some creatures migrate in their millions. This can be across oceans, continents – on in the case of our aquatic world-mates, from deep in the depths of the ocean to the surface of the oceans.

Here are some of the best migration events ever captured in image form. Also, if you have your own images, feel free to show us them and contribute!
