These popsicles are made from sewage found in the polluted wastes of Taiwan but looks like the sort of thing you would expect to find being served from a quirky organic artisanal food truck, but a single bite could leave you very ill. So as to create awareness about rising water pollution due to rapid economic growth and urbanization three design students made this Popsicles for the Polluted water Popsicles project. The water gotten from 100 various water sources in Taiwan was turned into frozen toxic popsicles. After which Hung I-chen, Guo Yi-hui, and Cheng Yu-ti from the National Taiwan University of Arts employed Transparent polyester resin to recreate them. They also made wrappers for them which represent the different regions from which the polluted water samples were gotten from. About 90 percent of it was plastic while the trash in the water varied, and everything from bottle caps and plastic bags to bottles and chopstick wrappers were contained in the Popsicles. It is an effective yet simple way of getting people to think about water pollution from another point of view. Popsicles anyone?
