Most animals spend the first couple of weeks of their life with their mother at a nest. This is an area where the baby animal can receive food and shelter while being protected from the dangers of the world around them.
In India, there was a chipmunk nest that was on an apartment building’s ledge. The baby chipmunk living in the nest happened to fall out of there and it dropped 20 feet. Residents of the building found the baby chipmunk on the ground and it was still alive. They even heard its mother crying from above. So they did the right thing and reunited the baby chipmunk with its mother.
