“I want to do something nice for you today.” Is what Mark Bustos, a hairstylist in an upscale salon tells the selected homeless and less privileged people he come s across on Sundays. He walks around New York in a bid to render his service to willing clients who can’t afford a haircut.
In May 2012 Bustos had visited the Philippines to see family members, whilst here he had provided free haircuts to poor children in a barbers shop where he had been able to rent a chair. This exercise had been very rewarding emotionally that he decided to continue doing the same in several locations he has visited and including the city he stays-New York.
Busto free sessions for the less privileged are usually conducted out in the open, on the streets and sidewalks and people are allowed to watch him work. He anticipates that when people see him do this for others they will be inspired to also do a good deed or be kind to others who are not so privileged.
