Imagine driving home from work on a regular day. While driving, and probably dreaming a bottle of wine, you see a black trash bag on the road WALKING. Yes, walking. This is what Malissa Sargent Lewis experienced a little while ago.
Malissa was commuting home in a rural Kentucky area and she saw a black trash bag walking on the road. She slowed down and opened the bag. It was a surprise for her to see an 8-week-old puppy inside of the bag. Luckily the puppy was fine and healthy.
She shared the video of the walking bag on Facebook and wrote: If this is your puppy, let me know. If you are the scoundrel who put it in a garbage bag and tossed it on the side of the road… you’re a sicko.
She took him to the vet and learned that the pup was perfectly fine.
The Kentucky Animal Control and the Sheriff’s Department are trying to find who is behind this incident. Malissa and her family decided to adopt this little dog and named him Hefty.
“He is playful,” Malissa told. “He romps around playing with his new toys. He’s good-natured. Even the day that I brought him into the school where I work the day I found him, he was precious. The guidance counselor, Mrs. Kelly, is a big animal lover, she took the pup to visit second grade and the kids loved him.”
