Tatsuo Horiuchi, an artist from Japan, has been rendering the subtlest details of mountains, forests, blooms, etc. using the unlikeliest of tools for the past 15 years – Microsoft Excel. He decided to pay for the expensive painting supplies or even for a drawing software that he would need on his computer. Instead, he started using Microsoft Excel – which he thinks is better than Microsoft Paint, as it has more functions and is easier to use. He made use of vector drawing tools, that were originally used for graphs and other simple shapes.
Horiuchi gained publicity recently when he got covered for an interview and people got to know how he works for the paintings. You can download his Excel artworks if you still do not believe how he made it. Visit his website if you wish to see more artworks from Tatsuo Horiuchi.
