If you’ve ever seen an ear up close, you’ll think that you know how it looks like, but did you know there is an extra hole on the ear sometimes that people have? You may think that this is some sort of birth defect, but in reality, it is actually a pop up from our history. It is a sign of what used to be gills from when humans would live underwater like fish. Same as how we have tailbones and our fingers wrinkle when wet – they’re signs of our past that is still with us today. Some of us seem to be more closely linked to it than others, but it is certainly something to look at in wonder. Makes you wonder what else we have on us that links back to our evolutionary history.
