Alzheimer’s is a condition that affects the brain, causing people to forget most of their memories, and putting them into states of perpetual confusion. It is a truly harrowing disease, with family members having to watch their loved ones forget everything about themselves, including who they are.
This photograph is therefore a great remind that even in the worst metal states, love can be remembered. The gentleman in the image has Alzheimer’s and cannot remember any of his children or much about himself. Yet upon seeing is wife, he ALWAYS would say ‘look at my beautiful wife’. Seeing the couple embrace on their 60th wedding anniversary is a truly wonderful sight, knowing that disease hasn’t taken everything away from the man.
