Known as one of the strangest buildings in the world, Hang Nga (the Chinese goddess of the Moon) is a hotel with a design looking like a giant tree. The structure incorporates sculptured elements in natural forms such as animals, mushrooms, and spider webs. Its architecture with organic and curvy shapes makes the structure an expressionist work. As one may guess, While coming up with the design, Đặng Việt Nga acknowledges that he was inspired by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí while coming up with the design. Visitors have also drawn several parallels between the works of artists such as Salvador Dalí and Walt Disney.
With his organic design, Nga aims to bring men and nature closer. Accordingly, the moment you enter Hang Nga (the Moon villa), you will feel the cool, fresh air as if you were in a forest. Visiting Crazy House is like taking a journey in giant tree trunks connected by tree branches. While you walk through the branches, you will not know where these branches may lead you. They can take you closer to the top of Crazy House or they can take you to an ocean-themed room filled with 3D paintings and sculptures of sea creatures.
