Wired Architectural Installations by Edoardo Tresoldi

Edoardo Tresoldi is an Italian artist known for his transparent installations made with wire mesh such as Ethera, Archetipo, and Sacral. Since 2013, he has displayed several installations in public spaces, archaeological sites, festivals, and exhibitions worldwide. His reconstruction of the Early Christian Basilica of Siponto on the archaeological site is one of his best works.

Here are some of the best architectural installations of Edoardo Tresoldi.

Etherea

“Ethera” was on display at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2018. It consists of three identical installations in different sizes inspired by Neoclassical and Baroque architecture. In order from the largest to the smallest one, they measure 72, 54, and 36 feet in height.

Archetipo, 2017

Tresoldi created “Archetipo” in collaboration with a Dubai-based studio called Designlab Experience for a private royal event in Abo Dabi, UAE. Archetipo is basically a garden where architecture and nature meet. The use of geometrical shapes such as cubes and spheres adds modernist touch to the classical elements in the installations.
