Knowing that crocheting is what your grandmother loves doing, Things changes over period of time likewise crocheting, nowadays crocheting has become very impressive. You will now witness the monster crocheted urchins floating over Singapore’s Marina Bay.
50 people worked hard for a period of 2 months winding the double braided polyester chords to make this trio of urchins that glows during the broad day light and gleam during the evening. The size of a single urchin is 56 feet (17 meters) and it weight about 220 pounds (100 kilograms).
The place is being changed by the piece of art so as to break the day to day activities. When you see the hovering and glowing silky object at high altitude and on water you will be forced to stop and have a look.
The London and Seoul- based collective Choi+Shine Architects made the design possible for the celebration of Singapore’s 2017 iLight Marina Bay Festival.
