A devastating video shows a dog desperately trying to jump back into a car as its owner abandons it.
CCTV footage shared by the RSPCA shows the distressed Staffordshire bull terrier bounding up at the car doors as its owner began to drive off without it in Stoke-on-Trent just days before Christmas.
The owner can be seen throwing the dog’s bed on to the pavement and taking the Staffie off its lead before running back to the car while the dog seemed to be distracted.

“The veterinary staff has nicknamed the dog Snoop, and he is in good condition, thought to be two years old. He is a white Staffie with black marking, and is such a friendly, lovely boy.”
“He’s currently being cared for at private boarding kennels where he will get all the care he needs whilst I investigate further.”
