An artist from China, Tian Haisu, does not create mainstream paintings and instead makes use for roller skates for applying colors. The largest of the posters she has painted includes a 43 X 20 feet Chinese painting. The roller skates she uses for painting has a modified wheelbase that has black color enclosed. This painting style replacing calligraphy brushes with skates by Tian, is called landskating.
A student of California Student of Art, she was inclined towards painting from a young age of 3. By using skates to paint, Tian is of the impression that the whole of her body gets involved in the painting task rather than using just her hands. The latest creation of Tian is a painting named as Blood-Lane-Line and involves long strokes created by skating in a straight line. To further enhance the detail of the painting, she skates with the tip of her skates to focus and work upon the minute details of the painting.
