Lingerie and swimsuit models bodies are known to be somewhat far from the average everyday woman, none more so than Victoria’s Secret. The photo shoots they take part in to model the latest swimsuits are also equally unrealistic of everyday life. So when Buzzfeed employees took to the sun kissed beaches of Malibu to recreate the photo shoots with the same clothing and poses, it provides a more down to earth representation of how the attire looks on normal women. Well done to the women for not being intimidated by the recreating images featuring attractive models in skimpy swimwear, as they nail the shoot perfectly. Rather than causing bouts of self-consciousness when being compared to a model, the women offered brilliant insight into the experience One explains it, ‘I think everyone should get photographed on the beach in a bathing suit at some point in their life…it is a really fun experience that kind of helps you to get over any insecurities.” With another echoing similar thoughts, “We may not all be models, but the world is a runway for ALL of us.”
