Ivan Hafizov, a photographer belonging to Russia, has a deep inclination towards the history of Russia and its preservation. Ever since the start of civilization, Russia has been popular with the way they design their windows with a lot of intricate details and woodwork, which is known as nalichniki. The window casings and trim moldings are decorated in this technique using word and it results in a border being created. There is no specific reason known for doing this. However, some people believe that it keeps evil spirits away during the pagan days.

However, the wood comes off over time and hence, Ivan is on a mission to preserve it. He is clicking photos of thousands of windows located all over Russia so that a photo museum is created.
