The castle property goes by the name of Molly’s Lodge. The castle is listed as Grade II and rests on 0.61 acres of land. The nearest village to the castle is Long Compton, which is in Warwickshire.
Molly’s Lodge used to be a gatehouse back in the early 1800s. But in the 1830s, a famous British architect by the name of Edward Blore decided to build a small castle there. This is the same architect who was asked by Queen Victoria to extend Buckingham Palace and Lambeth Palace.
The outside of Molly’s Lodge certainly looks like a mini castle but on the inside, it looks like a regular home. It has a living room, bathroom, bedroom, dining room, and a decorative spiral staircase. There is also a Victorian fireplace made of cast iron and numerous mullion windows.
