Artoir Design is an Israeli based design studio that has created theses rather imaginative book ends in the shape of miniature superheroes. Known as the ‘Book and the Hero’ and ‘Supershelf’, the two book stands create the illusion of miniature superheroes holding up a selection of books. The Book and the Hero is created by using an angled stand that is covered at one end by the cover of a book, and then held together using the magnet shaped superhero, making it look as if the little guy is holding up the mighty weight of the books himself. Using a slightly different technique, Supershelf uses a vertical stand in which the books are placed on top of. The hero this time remains at the bottom of the seemingly invisible shelf, making it look as if he is holding them up on his own. You can snap up these rather unique yet certainly cook book sands for $25 USD.
