In an interview with Variety in 2019, Pattinson admitted that he wanted the role of the Caped Crusader aka Batman. “I’ve been thinking about Batman for a while,” said Pattinson. “This is indeed an unreasonable thing to say. I had the idea to do it, and I have appealed to Matt [Reeves]. At first he did not accept any offers. I kept asking to meet him.” Obviously, Matt Reeves finally showed up, and Pattinson finally landed his dream role in The Batman.
