Beer Bottle Temple in Thailand
Wat Pa Maha Chedi Kaew is a Buddhist Temple made of beer bottles in the Sisaket province of Thailand. It is actually a recycling project to decrease the littering in the sea. So, the Buddhist monks requested people to bring their empty beer bottles in 1984, and they built a temple complex out of green Heineken and brown local Chang beer. Besides the temple, the monks also managed to build water towers, toilets, sleeping quarters and a crematorium. Today, the monks have decided to keep building and expanding the complex to recycle the bottles.




The Minnie Evans Bottle Chapel
This bottle chapel takes its name from an artist linked to the Airlie Gardens where the chapel is located. In 2004, Wright-Frierson and seven other local artists gathered over 5000 recycled bottles and built a kind of open air sanctuary. The side wings of the chapel are linked via bronze branch-like froms, and small objects like shells and broken pottery are also inset into the mortar.


The House of Bottle in Luna Parc in New Jersey
The construction of his bottle structure took place between 2002- 2006 inside the territory of Luna Parc which serves as a museum, atellier and an art gallery. This project belongs to Ricky Boscarino whose artistic family dates back to the time of the Medici.

The Glass House in British Columbia, Canada
In 1952, David H. Brown started the construction of the Glass House in order to create a peculiar house. Even though he only intended to have an unusual fantasy-like castle as a house, it turned into an attraction place. Through this project, Browns recycled around 500 thousand bottles.
