Lara appears to be a Pit Bull mix, and like most of these dogs, she ended up in the hands of the wrong people. No one knows who her owner was, but there must be hundreds of thousands of people so far that have wished the worst for him. Lara was pregnant, and while pregnant she was taken to a forest near Nafplion, Greece, and was left there tied, in the middle of nowhere, to give birth alone, without food, water or shelter. She survived and kept her puppies alive for 10 days until she was finally rescued. People in the nearby village knew about her, but nobody untied her, nor provided her with food or water. Her rescuer’s first post was devastating, the people who finally liberated her were overwhelmed, to say the least. She was extremely malnourished, dehydrated and in shock. One of the puppies did not make it, but the three remaining ones are thriving in Linda’s home shelter.
