Jules Casey was freediving along Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula when she spotted a mollusc on a mission in Port Phillip Bay. In this video, the speedy scallop suddenly decides it’s time to move, huffing and puffing its way through the water by opening and shutting its shell. Commenters on the post speculated on what the scallop might be running away from, with many saying they’d never seen a scallop move before. “Me when I see my ex,” one commenter wrote. “Running away from a strange being with enormous glasses,” said another. Casey said she was stoked to have caught this on camera, as she’d been trying to capture a scallop in action for a long time
