Underground metro stations have a tradition of being unsightly locations. From the darkness and damp environment to all number of different critters that call it home – and not to mention the smells, it’s nice to see some are totally different from your stereotypical station.
Many are just boring locations that only serve to get people from one place to another, yet some have taken the time to create spectacular designs for metro stations. Taking a second to realize these are all underground makes the fact they had achieved such elaborate designs makes it even more impressive.
It’s nice to see so much time and effort put into creating these works are. Considering the maintenance required to keep these areas in tip-top condition makes the feat even more admirable.
