Maine Coons are the largest breed of domesticated cats available today – they are pretty much the closest thing you can get to owning a wild cat without having to worry about your home getting destroyed.
Photographer Robert Sijka has always had an infatuation with these gorgeous felines, which prompted him to take a series of magnificent photos to help capture what he saw.
“My passions are cats and photography, I do my best to combine these two things as good as possible,” Sijka explains on his website. Taking a look at his series of portrait photos of various Maine Coons certainly shows that he has managed to combine his two passions to great effect.
He cites inspiration from “photo of Dolce Vita and De La Loo – two of the most majestic black Maine Coons… photographed beautifully on a simple black background”, and ever since this moment he has been working on creating his own fantastic photos of these majestic cats.
