A photographer Ariel McGlothin in Wyoming was up for a big surprise when she stumbled across a bizarre wall of snow that appeared to be moving towards her. This phenomenon is described as a ‘ghost snow tsunami’ and is actually created when a rare light and wind cause mesmerizing mirage on the horizon. Watch as the stunning display of ghost wave dissipates as the wind changes direction.
“I watched it for about 15 minutes or so until the angle of the light changed and the whole phenomenon just disappeared.“In hindsight, I feel very lucky to have seen this and don’t know if I’ll ever be lucky enough to be in exactly the right place at the right time every again.“It was a very special experience.” wrapps up Ariel. What a lucky girl to have seen wonderland!
