Chan Clayrene, an artist from Artclaytion, has taken the usage of nail polish to a different level altogether by using it for brilliant illustrations on haute couture gowns. The design for her gowns comes from top luxury brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino and Ralph & Russo etc. along with a blend of her creativity. The colors she uses are bold and she brings in a beautiful texture so that it looks amazing, resulting in a blooming effect. They also look like 3-D images and are bound to grab your attention.
She opines that cosmetics are her favorite as they are glossy and give a shiny effect. Watercolors would still be a better choice, but nail polish is tough. However, it is worth the challenges involved. Even if there is one wrong stroke, the entire dress is spoilt as it cannot be corrected. Chan said that it has made her confident as an artist by painting these clothes and is constantly experimenting with different types of designs.
