The Pilgrimage Church of St. John of Nepomuk at Zelená hora
Constructed at the beginning of the 18th century on a star-shaped plan, it is the most unusual work by the great architect Jan Blazej Santini, whose highly original style falls between neo-Gothic and Baroque.

Zalaszántói Sztupa- Buddhist Temple
The Zalaszántói Sztúpa, located in Hungary’s picturesque Balaton Highlands, is one of the largest Buddhist stupas in Europe. Built in 1992 under the guidance of the Dalai Lama, it stands 30 meters tall and houses sacred relics of Buddha. The project was initiated by the Hungarian Buddhist community and funded by Bop Jon, a Buddhist monk from South Korea to promote peace and spiritual unity. Constructed with the help of volunteers from various countries, the stupa represents collaboration and compassion. Its serene setting and symbolic design make it a unique cultural and spiritual destination, blending Eastern philosophy with Hungarian landscapes.
