A dog named Anubis was discovered in Cairo, Egypt living on the busy streets without a home. What was truly heart wrenching about this discovery was the physical condition that Anubis was in. Half of the dog’s muzzle was missing. The rescuers of the dog believe his previous owner probably cut off half his muzzle in order to prevent him from barking anymore. This made Anubis completely silent and it is much harder for him to live his life because of it.
Fortunately, Anubis was rescued by Special Needs Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation (SNARR) . Last January, they flew Anubis halfway around the world so he could have shelter in the United States. Now instead of sleeping on the dirty pavement, he gets a soft cozy bed all to himself. Anubis was able to make friends with other cats, dogs, and humans at the shelter. But even though his foster family loves him, they decided to put him up for adoption because he has a dominating male personality that needs to be in an environment where he feels like he is the head dog, so to speak. And despite his bad experiences with humans, he is still kind and loving toward them. If you are interested in adopting Anubis then visit snarranimalrescue.org to find out how you can.
