Losing a pet is never easy. Having been your companion for years, it will never get easy saying goodbye to our furry friends, especially when it happens due to illness.
Todd Burchanowski received news that his beloved eight year old dog Reyes would not be living much longer due to a terminal illness, which spurred him on to make the most of the time they had left.
So Todd decided to create the ultimate doggy bucket lift, where he and Reyes would go around seeing all manner of cool sights, dress up in adorable sweaters, and going on special dog shopping trips.
On it are things from friends, family, and even strangers.
Scrub a dub!
You can never have too many ugly Christmas sweaters!
Instant best friends!
Sometimes Burchanowski can cross two things off with one epic trip.
But the simple doggy delights are on the list, too.
A little indulgence is okay now and then!
So is a LOT of indulgence.
Reyes even got to star in her very own photoshoot!
Burchanowski understands Reyes may not be able to celebrate another birthday, so he threw her a party early.

He admits that embarking on this adventure with Reyes has actually benefited him despite the sad reasons behind it. As Todd explained to ABC news, “Sometimes in life you get stagnant, but by me doing all of these things with her, it’s kind of re-energized my life.”
