Cal Lane, a popular artist whose works make use of industrial materials with a fine level of precision, has gone famous with the new series, Industrial Dollies. She makes use of blowtorch, oil tanks, shovels etc. to give fine detailing and her works draw inspiration from religious ceremonies such as funerals, christening and weddings.
She makes use of lace, which hides the underlying material used and then shapes it up to achieve perfection.
She is also an alumnus of New York State University, from where she has an MFA in Sculpture. Her work is thrown open to public in popular exhibitions such as the ones in Montreal, New York City and Santa Monica. All images here courtesy Art Mur.
