It can be infuriating to take them out anywhere, because when they don’t want to do something, they don’t understand that you can’t just stop and cry, or stop and sleep, in the middle of a shopping center. Now, human parents might scream at their children, drawing glances from everyone in the vicinity. What these elephants did was something kinder and more gentle.
