18 Photos That Show How Life Before AutoCad Looks Like

Before AutoCAD and other drafting software, architects drew the engineering drawings to the sheet of papers using drawing boards. Many types of equipment were required to complete a given drawing such as drawing board, different grade pencils, Erasers T-squares, Set square, etc.

Before AutoCad

Almost 20 years ago, engineers and toolmakers used to draw all things on paper with the help of drafting tools and pencils. Drafting was indeed was tedious and time-consuming. Designing and putting everything on paper was a tough job. Maybe that’s why they need the creation of AutoCAD software came up. Especially, the major disadvantage of the paper-based design was making changes was really difficult. Any wrong drawing was causing to start sketches anew.

Life Before AutoCad

AutoCAD and all that software are just tools that save us time and give some more accurate designs. However initial designs are still done on paper which later converted to a CAD design for better understanding!
