Staying in a more rural location with a big stretch of land surrounding your home is the perfect place for any animal lover to live. Plenty of open space is not only ideal for keeping pets, but you also get a glimpse into nature too as YouTube user Darius found out one spring morning. Witnessing two baby white tailed deer being born; Darius couldn’t believe his luck and went on to capture the footage. He then noticed that one of the fawns wasn’t walking comfortably, and looked to have a leg injury. This resulted in the new-born animal being abandoned by her mother and sibling. With so many predators roaming the land, Darius made the tough decision to take her in and hand-rear her into good health. It’s something Darius had a hard time deciding over, but in the end he knew what he had to do. “I do not support keeping wild animals as a pet, but this was special situation,” Darius said. Darius would go on to care and nurse the little creature back to health, recording most of it and posting it online, where it has quickly became an internet sensation thanks to his selfless and kind-hearted attitude dedicated to rescuing a wild animal. One of the notable pleasures of the video is the awesome interaction between the deer and Darius’s friendly pets. Not only that, but the fawn appears to recognise the caring nature of Darius, striking up a remarkable bond with him. “I am thankful for every single person who liked, shared and left a comment,” Darius says. “I didn’t expect this story to become so popular. I am sure that any of us with a little bit of a conscience about our existence, with love for the nature and animals would do the same.”
