The Adrere Amellal eco-lodge comprises 40 unique hand-built rooms situated at the foot of the White Mountain in Siwa Oasis, Egypt. The furniture is also the handicrafts of the local artisans. There is no electricity inside the lodge, and the rooms are lit with candles, torches, and natural light. Telephones are also forbidden outside the rooms.
Adrere Amellal is an isolated and self-sustainable eco-lodge with no plastic, no electricity, and no telephones.
The hotel is completely self-sustainable and in compliance with its surroundings. Its cuisine serves dishes with local ingredients, cooked in honey-glazed clay pots. A natural spring supplies water to the lodge. The structures are all built with mud and other natural materials such as palm and salt-rock.
