Beautiful Design of the Samode Haveli

Samode Haveli is a grand mansion located in the walled city of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. It was built in the 16th century as a Rajput fort but was later used as a residence by the rulers of Samode. The word ”haveli” originates from Arabic and refers to a mansion with historical and architectural significance in India. Set in a lavish garden with apartments arranged around a series of courtyards, Samode Haveli serves both as a hotel and an ancestral royal residence today.

Samode Haveli is a unique work of the Mughal and Indo-Saracenic architectural style which represents a combination of Islamic designs and Indian materials developed by British architects in India during the 19th and 20th centuries. The rich interior design of the building consists of marble floors, intricately ornamented pillars, carpets, and mosaic walls with intricate details. One of the most famous parts of the building, the Durbar Hall, an extravagant hand-painted hall, was built in the 19th century. The elegant courtyards of the Haveli combine both Mughal and Rajasthan designs and are another well-liked part of the building.
