Inez Janiak is a Polish artist that has created a series of incredible tattoo designs that have taken Instagram by storm. Her work features a design that is a far cry from traditional tattoo art, with broken lines and intricate shading used to create a tattoo that looks more like charcoal drawing that has been etched onto the skin.
There is a certain abstract feel to the art which features no color and instead uses a blend of strokes and shading to create a dark, Gothic-like illustration. These unique tattoos almost seem to be in the midst of movement whilst others are highlighted by sharp depths in their design.
Appearing like a raw sketch from a pad that has jumped onto a canvas of skin, each design features its own uniqueness, from a vicious bear to a gracious dancer. Janiak makes great use of various shapes and strokes to help give a geometric quality to them.
Her work is mainly confined to her native Poland, although she does hint at the possibility of visiting the UK for a limited time to complete some work.
