Sculpted by the Colombian architect Octavio Mendoza, Casa Terracota is basically a 5,400-square-foot piece of pottery in Villa de Leyva, Colombia. During the construction of this two-story building, Mendoza used nothing but clay and let it bake under the sun. He also took inspiration from the surrounding topography while shaping the curvy walls of this giant ceramic structure.

As for the interior, colorful tile mosaics add more zest to the airy rooms. There are several rooms, a dining room, and a fully functional kitchen with pottery furniture in them. Nevertheless, Mendoza states that the house is not complete, and he plans to work on this project for the rest of his life.
