2-year-old rescue cat Monique has been at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home for more than 115 days. After she passed her 100th day in the shelter with no one applying to adopt her, the staff decided to throw her a cat birthday party yet not a single guest turned up. Monique’s FIV+ status is no threat to humans, but her potential owners will need to have patience. The shelter said that “Monique loves spending time with her human friends” but due to her FIV+ status she has to be the only pet in the house.
