Tired Of Speeding Cars, This Town in Iceland Painted A ‘3D’ Zebra Crosswalk To Slow Down Traffic

The small fishing town of Ísafjörður, Iceland, has come up with a really clever way to make cars slow down.  They painted a 3D Zebra Crosswalk for pedestrians that have those crossing over the road feeling like they are walking on air.  Without a doubt, drivers will slow down because the zebra stripes appear in a 3D design and they seem to be floating.  The Icelandic Environmental Commissioner, Ralf Trylla, asked for this crosswalk to be placed after seeing a similar one in New Delhi, India.  He hired the painting company Vegmálun GÍH and his vision became an amazing reality.
